Our greenhouse is open from May 1st to June 30th each year. We have a large selection of annuals, vegetables, hanging baskets, perennials, succulents, and herbs. Our gift shop has a lot of fun things to help brighten up your home.
Annuals are plants that live only one growing season. They germinate, bloom, seed, and die all in the same year. Though they are short-lived, the blooming season for annuals tends to be longer than perennials. Because of their short life, annuals aren't normally limited to climate zones as most perennials are. Below is a list of the common annual plants we carry at our greenhouse.
We carry a wide variety of vegetables for your garden in both plants and seeds. We have several different types of tomatoes, peppers, lettuces, and squash, along with all of your traditional garden favorites.
Hidden Treasures Greenhouse is a Certified Proven Winners Garden Center and we have a large selection of beautiful hanging baskets to brighten your home. Proven Winners is one of the largest plant suppliers in the country, known for long-blooming flowers.
With more than 20,000 available varieties, succulents are plants that come in many different shapes and sizes. Succulents can be found that will grow in any climate and are excellent plants for growing in North Dakota. Succulents store water in their leaves, which typically makes their leaves thicker and hardier than other plants. Because of their leaf structure, they need to be watered less often than annuals or perennials.
Perennials are plants that live through more than one growing season. Perennials can be purchased as seeds, plants, or bulbs. Perennials usually have a shorter blooming season, but will spread out as far as they can, allowing you to dig some up to move or share. Many gardeners choose to plant perennials that will bloom at different times in the growing season. Perennials tend to grow best in climate zones based on average winter temperature. Below is a list of common perennials we carry at our greenhouse.
Most of us have herbs for cooking and for other uses around the home, but there's something special about going to your herb garden and picking fresh thyme, sage, cilantro, or lemongrass to spice up your dinner, or mint to add to your teas. Herbs don't take a lot of space to grow and can be indoor or outdoor plants. Many gardeners grow herbs simply because they are fragrant and beautiful.
